These nonprofit and healthcare organizations are operating on the front lines supporting families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss - conducting research, advocating for families, providing grief services, and offering tangible and meaningful remembrance.
Charitable Giving 2025
Birthing Beautiful Communities was created with a goal of addressing the exceptionally high infant mortality rate in Cleveland’s Hough community. Dedicated to working to support Black women, babies and families in neighborhoods with the highest maternal and infant mortality. BBC was founded to provide perinatal support, birth and breastfeeding options to communities at-risk for infant mortality by people who look like them.
This grant will cover the cost of their 2025 Wave of Light event.
$10,000 to Birthing Beautiful Communities
$6,250 to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep
This grant will allow 50 families in Ohio to receive a photo session of their infant, free of charge.
The mission of NILMDTS is to introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture. NILMDTS offers the gift of healing, hope and honor to parents experiencing the death of a baby through the overwhelming power of remembrance portraits. Professional-level photographers volunteer their time to conduct an intimate portrait session, capturing the only moments parents spend with their babies. Parents are gifted with delicately retouched heirloom black and white portraits free of charge.
$5,000 to Metro Health
This grant will provide the initial funding for an account in Charlie’s name which will support families who experience pregnancy or infant loss.

$2,500 to Cornerstone of Hope
Cornerstone offers professional bereavement and trauma counseling for children, teens, and adults. Through this program, they provide counseling for individuals, couples, and families. With the ability to receive professional care, individuals and families can heal from the effects of grief and trauma, process their loss, and move forward with hope.
Cornerstone of Hope offers two camps for grieving children and teens – Camp Cornerstone and Camp Erin. These camp programs are a combination of grief support and traditional camp activities, with grief therapy in the mornings, field trips in the afternoons, and plenty of fun activities. At Camp, children have access to therapeutic interventions led by professional counselors. In addition, camp attendees have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities like crafts, sports, field trips, and expressive arts therapy.
This grant will allow children who have lost an infant sibling to attend grief camp.
$2,000 to the Sad Dads Club
This grant will cover retreat expenses for 30 Dads who have experienced the loss of a child.
SAD DADS CLUB helps fellow bereaved fathers navigate life after loss by nurturing a supportive community and providing access to mental health services.
$1,000 to Miles Mission and Alive in My Heart
This grant will sponsor the resource area at the annual P.A.I.L. Remembrance and Awareness Walk.
Miles Mission -
We believe Christ is our example in showing love and compassion to those who are grieving.
We believe in advocating for standardized care and regulation of policies that meet the needs of families who experience pregnancy and infant loss.
We connect grieving families with resources to help in the healing process.
We provide education to bring awareness to the trauma and lasting physical, mental and emotional effects of pregnancy and infant loss.
We believe in actively working with community partners to strengthen families in their time of grief.
Alive in My Heart - Central Ohio has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the United States, which affects low-income families and minorities in an alarming rate. Alive in My Heart supports families impacted by pregnancy and infant loss by connecting them to each other and to community resources in Central Ohio.
We envision a community in which no family has to endure pregnancy or infant loss in isolation.
$525 to the Christmas Box Angel of Hope Statue
This grant allows the Angel of Hope Committee to replace remembrance bricks that have been worn down by weather and other natural elements.
A beautiful replica of The Christmas Box Angel of Hope, inspired by the book The Christmas Box, stands in a serene setting in Silver Springs Cemetery. The Christmas Box, became a best selling book which lovingly told of a mother's grief and eventual solace over the loss of her child. The Christmas Box Angel of Hope was created by the author, Richard Paul Evans, and was first built in Salt Lake City. It has become a truly meaningful memorial to children all over the world.
Due to the incredible passion and work of a group of dedicated bereaved parents, the Angel was brought to Stow, Ohio in 2001. The Christmas Box Angel of Hope Children's Memorial is a peaceful place for grieving parents whose children have died, before or after birth, to mourn, heal, and remember their beloved children. It has also given parents, family, and friends an opportunity to connect with one another and share their grief as they visit the memorial.
$500 to Reflections Grief and Wellness
This grant will support their annual Beacon of Light Walk.
Reflections Grief & Wellness Care, is dedicated to providing bereavement support, education and companionship throughout the journey of grief.
Charitable Giving 2024
$3,840 to Brooks’ Bereavement Bears
This grant will cover the cost of 20 bears per month for one calendar year.
Brooks’ Bereavement Bears is a non-profit that provides comfort and support to women who have experienced pregnancy loss. Founded by Taylor in 2022, the organization was inspired by her own miscarriage and the desire to offer a meaningful bereavement gift to other women. Bears are donated to local hospitals and offer support to friends and loved ones.
$5,000 to Healthy Birth Day
This grant will increase the use of the Count The Kicks app among expectant parents by placing funds behind the viral video that has proven to increase app downloads and lower the stillbirth rate.
“Our mission is to improve birth outcomes through programming, advocacy, and research. Health equity is at the center of our work, with a goal to reduce the racial disparities that persist, We help save babies using evidence based Count The Kicks stillbirth prevention program, which educates expectant parents on the importance of tracking their babies’ movements in the third trimester of pregnancy and to speak up if they notice a change.”

The other $5,000 of the grant will go towards Birthing Beautiful Communities’ Benevolence Fund which provides financial relief and support to a number of families experiencing infant and/or pregnancy loss.

This grant will support the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Program, which provides support for the individuals who have experienced pregnancy or other types of infant loss.
In addition, Cornerstone of Hope will use the remaining balance from the 2023 grant to provide up to 5 children the opportunity to attend Camp Cornerstone or Camp Cornerstone Overnight. These funds are intended for children who have experienced the loss of a sibling through stillbirth or causes related to pregnancy/labor.
